Lynda Hogue
Lynda has over 35 years of Supply Chain experience. She has a diverse background in all disciplines of Supply Chain and has spent the last 18 years focused on transportation since relocating to middle Tennessee from Northern California. Lynda has most recently worked in the automotive industry in a variety of roles. She has also been recognized as an environmental leader for her work in recycling and sustainability.
Lynda has been affiliated with DNA for a number of years. She has served as a Board of Director member, worked on a number of committees and was also the 2018 recipient of the “Transportation Professional” award.
Sue Spero
Sue Spero, President of CSI, a 3rd party logistics firm, has over 48 years’ experience in the full truckload sector of the transportation industry. Sue owned a trip lease firm prior to motor carriage deregulation, and went on to the position of Director of Operations of a truckload carrier. In 1993, Sue founded Carrier Services of TN., Inc., a transportation brokerage. Carrier Services has been distinguished as one of the top 25 Women-Owned Business by the Nashville Business Journal every year since 2006.
As a professor of Business and Logistics at Cumberland University, Sue received the Robert H. Beard Professional Award in 2001 for promoting higher educational standards in the field of transportation. A Certified Transportation Broker through the TIA, Sue is involved with the DNA Volunteer Chapter 135, Women Business Enterprise National Council , and is a Tennessee DOT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. Sue has been an adjunct professor of International Business at Belmont University in Nashville.
She proudly serves on the Transportation Intermediaries Association Board Of Directors as PAC CHAIR as well as VICE CHAIR of the TIA Foundation promoting education in the 3rd Party Logistics arena.
Sue received the Distinguished Woman in Logistics Award in 2020.
Joe Fischer
Joe has been a member of DNA since 2014 and is currently serving as the 2nd Vice President.
Joe has been in the transportation field for 16 years. He started in truck sales at MHC Kenworth-Nashville then Rush Truck Centers – Nashville. He is currently the Territory Sales and Service Manager – TN and Northern MS, at Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies in Nashville.
Joe is originally from Bardstown KY and currently resides in Nashville TN. His personal interests include golfing, hunting and fishing and horse racing.
Gary Heinz
Gary has been a member of Delta Nu Alpha since 1998. He has served as a Board of Director member, President, chaired and co chaired various committees and is currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer. He has been in the transportation field since the late 1970’s. Gary currently works for Big G trucking in the Greater Nashville area.
Chip Riley
Chip Riley comes to the board with 35 years in the transportation industry. Providing intermodal, truck brokerage, port drayage railcar, warehousing & transloading services.
Over his 35 years he has held positions within Intermodal Marketing companies, as intermodal operations, customer service, intermodal & international pricing along with business development.
For the last 10 years, Chip has represented Cornerstone Systems, Memphis, TN as an Account Executive. A leading nationwide provider of solutions for transportation, a recognized award winning company, with service coverage that spans all of North America.
Chip credits the University of Memphis (Memphis State), for guiding him into his first opportunity with a company providing LTL, Truckload “piggyback”, boxcar consolidation Transportation Company.
He is also affiliated with many other transportation organizations and has held board positions for the Memphis Transportation Club and a former President of the Northeast Mississippi Traffic Club.
Elliott Pinson
A Nashville, TN native, Elliott graduated from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee with a major in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He accepted a position with Schneider National and participated in their Rotational Leadership Program in Green Bay, WI, where he worked through all departments of the asset-based Van Truckload Division. From recruiting to customer service to operations and planning, he gained a holistic understanding of the inner-workings of a longstanding and successful trucking company. Upon return to Nashville as a Driver Business Leader, Elliott assisted in winning the 2013 Van Truckload Division of the year award. He then moved into the role of Dell Account Manager with Schneider Logistics where he managed an international team based in TN, WI, and Mexico. Elliott successfully grew and managed the account including the development of a cross-dock program with Christenson Transportation.
Through this implementation he had the pleasure of working with the Christenson Family and made the decision to leave Schneider when Don Christenson asked him to become a part of his sales team. Elliott enjoys the leadership philosophy and work environment at Christenson Transportation. He is also a part of many local transportation and supply chain organizations:
